How to Use Every Last Bit of Your Perfume

Lavender Oil, Nivea Lotion, and Dolce and Gabbana’s “Rose the One”

I’m not a perfect person.  Sometimes I get bored with a perfume. Sometimes I don’t use every last drop of my perfume before I throw it out. Sometimes my perfume bottles don’t spray properly and I abandon them.  Sometimes I’m wrong.

If you have a few drops left in a perfume bottle or you get really bored of wearing a perfume, I have some advice for you:

1. Put a few drops of your perfume in an unscented lotion bottle, I chose Dolce and Gabbana’s “Rose the One” as my perfume and Nivea’s Essentially Enriched Body Lotion as my lotion.  Now, you’ve got a lightly scented lotion.  You can choose how scented you want your lotion to be by adding more drops of perfume to the bottle.  I really love this trick.  I always use it with diminishing bottles of perfume.

 

2. You can put a few drops of old perfume in a small spray bottle filled with water.  You can use this as a light spray to scent hair or maybe an article of clothing without getting too heavy a scent.  Sometimes I like to spritz my pillows with some lightly scented spray.

3.  P.S. You can do both of these things with lavender oil or another essential oil.  Sometimes I make my own lavender scented lotion using lavender essential oils, but peppermint and chamomile are also good options.  I almost always have a small spray bottle with water and a drop or two of lavender oil on me.  Nothing is more refreshing than a quick spritz during a long day.
